Helping active people move better, stay strong,
and continue doing the things they love
My Story
Movement and sport have always been a big part of my life. Growing up I spent countless hours figure skating, playing baseball, running track and eventually competing in soccer and basketball. Being active wasn’t just something I did — it was part of who I was.
In Grade 12, during a basketball game, my athletic journey took an unexpected turn when I suffered a serious knee injury that required ACL reconstruction surgery. What followed were multiple surgeries and a long rehabilitation process that tested my patience, resilience, and identity as an athlete.
At the time it was incredibly frustrating, but looking back it shaped the path I’m on today. Experiencing injury firsthand taught me how challenging recovery can be — physically and mentally — and it sparked my interest in helping others navigate that process.
That experience ultimately led me to pursue physiotherapy.
My Approach to Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is about much more than treating an injury — it’s about understanding the person behind it.
I believe physiotherapy should be client-centred, individualized, and built on a strong therapeutic relationship. Taking the time to listen and understand your goals is just as important as any hands-on treatment or exercise program.
My goal is to help people move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities that matter to them. Whether that’s competitive sport, recreational activity, or simply feeling comfortable moving through everyday life.
A big part of my philosophy is simple:
Movement matters. Motion is lotion.
Our bodies are designed to move, and when we approach recovery with the right guidance, strength, and confidence, incredible progress is possible.
Who I Love Working With
I enjoy working with people of all ages, especially those who want to take an active role in their recovery.
Many of my clients are athletes or active individuals who want to return to sport, but I also love helping people who simply want to move well and stay active as they age.
Whether you’re dealing with an acute injury, persistent pain, or recovering from surgery, my goal is to guide you through the process with a thoughtful plan that supports your long-term health and movement.
Staying Active Myself
Despite my earlier knee injuries and the development of post-traumatic osteoarthritis, staying active has always remained a priority in my life.
After becoming a mom, I rediscovered my love for endurance sports and began running, eventually expanding into swimming and cycling as well. That journey led me into triathlon racing — something I never imagined doing years earlier.
Training and racing with an arthritic knee hasn’t always been easy, but it’s reinforced something I truly believe:
Injuries don’t have to define what you’re capable of.
With the right approach, strength, and persistence, it’s possible to continue doing the things you love.
That same mindset is something I bring into my work with clients every day.
